SSC Constable GD 2017 – Everything you need to know
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recently announced the SSC Constable General Duty Jobs 2017 and the official notification of the exam will appear soon on its web portal. The post is for those candidates who wish to apply for services like BSF, CISF, CRPF, etc. The candidates who are eligible can fill the SSC constable Application form. Examination date will be announced soon but it is expected to be held at the end of January 2018. The exam will be conducted by SSC which consists of 7 regions spread across India.

Vacancy Details and Eligibility Criteria

Vacancies for the Post
It is estimated that around 57000 vacancies will be released and the exam will be conducted at various centers across the country. The candidates will have the option of opting offline or online exam as per their preference.
The vacancies are for the posts of forces such as BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITPB, SSF, NIA and AR. The Gross salary for the post is around Rs. 20,200 while the grade pay is Rs. 2000.
Eligibility Criteria
As per the SSC’s guidelines, there are many criteria for eligibility of the candidates, failing any one of those means that the candidate can not appear for the exam.

Education: The candidates must have 10th pass certificate from a government recognized board. Candidates should have a graduation degree or diploma from a recognized institute.

Age Criteria: The minimum age should be 18 years and upper age limit is 23, however, age relaxation has been provided for reserved categories like OBC, ST/SC, and Ex-Servicemen (GEN, OBC and SC/ST) and also for the war/riots affected candidates.

Nationality: The candidate appearing for the exam should be an Indian Citizen, with a valid government proof that can verify his/her residency.
